The Mayan Day Out of Time Celebration hosts it’s annual in-person spiritually themed event on July 25, 2024 from 6 PM to 11:11 PM at the San Antonio Shrine Auditorium. The event offers free on-site parking, free entry for guests, and is friendly to the whole family. The event moves from it’s previous outdoor venue, to the air conditioned Shrine Auditorium to give guests relief from the July heat.

The event is themed around the end of the Mayan calendar, which is meant to be a time of peace, forgiveness, letting go of the past year and making room for the new year.

“I want to bring the community together to help us connect and grow spiritually. The Mayan Day Out of Time is a great time for creativity, unity and spirituality because of the purpose of the day,” said Harold Hoenow, the co-founder of event.

The event opens with live Music from Vortex Farmer, blending live looping with cosmic rhythms. There will be a free sound bath and guided from 7:15 to 7:45pm. After Zen is experienced, the event will spice up with DJ’d music by Euclidean Rhythms and followed by Eòn Màize, who specializes in music for ecstatic dance. From 10:00pm to 11:11pm, the music will end on a high note courtesy of DJ Tristan Cobine aka “Apothecary,” blending many EDM genres with vocals and traditional music from all over the world.

The event will also have pop-up vendors including selling handmade-only items like jewelry, art, and bags, and spiritual services like tarot card readings, energy healing, and Chinese zodiac readings.

Food will be offered from various food vendors, including typical meat-based food, vegan food, and Mayan food offerings. All food waste will be composted as part of the organizer’s desire for sustainability.

“I wanted to make sure sustainability was not just a thing we talk about, but actually do. That starts with me, and it starts with how I run this event. It continues by offering information on compositing to guests who want to learn more too,” said Hoenow.
